Logan Ward is an award-winning journalist, author and brand storyteller. He has developed content strategies for a range of clients, including the Austin-based green home-improvement retailer TreeHouse, Chicago’s Field Museum of Natural History, solar-oven maker Solavore and stand-up paddleboarder Tom Jones’s effort to clean up ocean plastic called ReSUP (Rethinking Single-Use Plastic). As a journalist, he has tracked mountain gorillas in Uganda for National Geographic Adventure, crossed the Bolivian salt flats for the New York Times, dived a 55-foot-deep shipwreck without scuba tanks for a piece exploring the physiology of freediving for Popular Science and reported on foul-mouthed 4-year-olds (in the wilds of his own backyard) for Parents. His feature articles have also appeared in Popular Mechanics, Garden & Gun, The Atlantic, Smithsonian, Men’s Journal and many others. His memoir, See You in a Hundred Years, chronicles his family’s move from New York City to the Shenandoah Valley to live the life of 1900-era dirt farmers. Elizabeth Sobka is a web designer who specializes in brand visual communication. Elizabeth began her career as in independent, creative contractor after graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University’s top-ranked design and illustration school in Richmond, Virginia. Her perspective on design was transformed after discovering a purpose-driven approach to brand communication, an approach she has applied to help bring brands into balance ever since.
Shell B Royster started her career as an actress/model, but the other side of the camera piqued her curiosity. She has spent over a decade of her career in the photography industry working with Smashbox Studios, Soul Studios, Conde Nast, Hearst, Twelv Magazine, Nordstorm, Macy’s and Kmart, and with some of the top celebrity, fashion and beauty photographers in the country including Matthew Rolston, Art Streiber, Brian Bowen Smith and Robert Erdmann.
Shell’s work was recently featured on vogue.com and she was awarded a prestigious PDN Taste, Food Photography Award. Shell studied photography at SMC in California, ICP and Parsons in New York City. She currently divides her time between homes in Richmond and NYC.
